Moot point.

I am convinced that you never do it on a daily basis and just brag like kids do. Unless you have a launch control, this is abusing the car for a purpose that it was not designed...

5-60mph is the one that is most related to real life. Stomp on it from idle, that's it.

0-60mph are executed in a cheating manner. Car testers will pre-rev the engine and maintain the brakes...

241HP F30 328i 6.7s
255HP E90 330i 6.0s
180HP F30 328d 8.0s

HP wins all the time.

Obviously you don't have much experience with late Civic Si. They have a "large" 2.4L engine and all the torque you need at under 5500rpm.

Torque definitely allows to stay at lower RPM range (that's one of the purpose, check BMW eta engines 30 years ago) and aims a better fuel economy.

But this doesn't translate at all by quicker...

Otherwise you would an hard time explaining why a 335d is no quicker than 2006 330i, despite having almost twice the torque.

There goes your...

A funny thing is that you hear more complaints about eh F30 interior than the E90. I don't agree; I actually prefer the F30 interior.

But you can't fault the E90 dynamic like it is...

No both do 5-60mph at the same time. Torque is clearly overrated. HP is what matters at any speed.

Of course, this is an artificial and temporary situation, definitely not sustainable in the long term.

Yeah it remains a patch, like a pretext is to an uncalled-for situation.

White is NO CHARGE (except mineral white). Silver (as other metallized colors) is 550$ or so.

I love my 7-yo Alpine White. It resisted better than our 2-yo 2012 Civic.
