For me it has become pretty consistent between 35 and 45 mph. I find it to happen only when you hold it at a certain speed within that range. It's very rhythmic it will lag more than surge ever 4-5...

I don't know that the nose would be removed. Can't you access it from the driver's side wheel arch? That seems a lot easier than taking the bumper assembly off.

Just to recap this thread, I got the car back on Friday and the rough idle is gone. Very pleased with the reseal. Apparently the leaks were so bad it was allowing unmetered air at the gaskets.

Got the car back and the re-seal was a success no more rough idle. Apparently the oil leaks were so bad it was allowing unmetered air at the gaskets....
