BMW leatherette is much more durable than the leather. Cloth and leatherette seats just last forever. Leather gets nicked easily. I would rather not have leather, but I'm stuck with it

Seems like all exterior lighting functions are controlled by the module on the back of the headlamp switch (it is quite deep). Maybe a problem here, especially since they do not come on in manual on.
