I'm with you man but the real challenge will be when these emissions start failing out of warranty. Some will pay, some will sell the car, and others will rip out the emissions altogether.

Sad to say but the 335d was a guinea pig of sorts for BMW and its foray into diesel emissions systems. Lots of people are starting to remove EGR, SCR, DEF and DPF components on these cars.

I wouldn't say it's expensive to replace but depends more on what you want to replace it with. The subframe does have to be lowered so you might as well beef up your subframe bushings (4 of them)...

It's just a matter of when, not if. Everyone will have to deal with this at some point if they don't delete EGR, DPF, etc. Anyone keeping this car long term will have CBU.

Sounds like the glow plug module. They'll most likely change all 6 glow plugs as well. Did you have prior symptoms like rough idle, decreased fuel mileage, etc?
