check the pins/bushings in the calipers

Sometimes the pins in the calipers are not greased well (enough) and after initially applying brakes they will 'stick' open, causing what you describe. It's an easy fix for yourself or your mechanic.

Coincidentally (or not) the central locking switch break and key fob issue usually happen around the same time. The switch can break at either the wire receptors or plastic housing from too much...
