So insurance told me to take my car to a glass shop and have the windshield replaced so it is legal to drive and they will put that towards my deductible should the car be a total loss...nice work...

Less 1500 deductible... when my e38 got wrecked I made out ok. I expected to get ten and it was almost 15. Same deal though I kept it perfect and spent near that much in a few years to get it there....

Look for a 540 with the sport package and a clutch for your next inexpensive bmw. They are not much more expensive and you seem to know a guy who can swap an engine should something go wrong.

Weird...I never needed a tool to reset my service or oil lights...the only caveat is that it must be ready to reset which it is usually not because I do my oil changes too frequently.
