Most people fit Bilstein touring or sport, or replace with OEM Sachs/Boge.

I wouldn't be cheap with suspension parts- it makes a massive difference in how the car rides...

Moved the Touring out to wash it today and noticed an oily patch on the concrete at the rear of the car. Took a quick peek under the rear and noticed the diff looked wet.

If it were me, I'd buy it and spend a weekend or two fixing the stuff DIY. You get style 5 wheels, sports seats, a nice looking car. Get the chrome grill back on it though ;) YMMV

It was probably the lifters, and once the oil had worked it's way back into all of the valve train, the ticking stopped. I would still recommend an oil change before putting the car back into active...
