The wipers on our 2006 330i no longer stop or rest at the lowest position, but now stop about an inch or two on the up sweep.

Yours must be holding up better than the ones we have in our 5 wagon. I like that they return up on the sides, but after awhile they don't fit tight, and pull away and have a irregular shape.
