Not if your wiring and lenses are rated as such, which the Hella conversions are...Ive been running 100 watt Hellas (which are brighter than lesser wattage bulbs) of various types for 40 years.

Might be a good time to upgrade to some good lenses and H4s (hi/low beam) and H1s (high beams.

I run Hella e-codes ion my '87, with some cool temped 65/100 watt H4 with no problems.

I believe the front air dams only came on the "S" and "X" models. have you done a vin search to see for sure what you have? Im guessing it is just an "i", and somebody added the dam.

This is completely wrong! The cam on an M20 actuates the valves via rockers. The lobes should be pointing down when adjusting.

Cant get them from underneath, and I tried to pull them straight out, but was afraid they would break.

Do I have to remove the trunk liner?? That would suck!

If your sure its not leaking (could be leaking...

If your sure its not leaking (could be leaking when running only), and its not in the oil, its going out the tail pipe...you have a blown head gasket, or worse, cracked block.

I can shed some light (no pun intended) on this thread, seeing how I just upgraded to Hella E-codes from sealed beams...

In the US the dual head lamps systems of the '70-'80 were 5 3/4" sealed...
