Doesn't work. :( We ended up using zip-ties to hold the thing together. Surprisingly it's holding up halfway...

Yeah no kidding. I can feel it with my pads too.... takes a while to get some heat in them before they start biting like they should.

Sounds like your thermostat stuck open. I had mine fixed under warranty so no charge. I don't think it's that expensive/hard to do yourself however. Shouldn't damage the engine if you wait abit.....
