Never done it but I doubt it is hard. Make sure the route it is taking is not the result of some PO getting it wrong. You need smooth, large radius curves.
I would also guess that it snapped...

As you look at your picture there is a vac hose from the brake booster. In that hose is a non return valve. Above the valve is the fuel rail, above that is a black tube held down by a rocker cover...

No problem in swapping the whole flywheel/clutch for the TC and flex plate. Remove the pilot bearing or the nose of the TC won't fit.
