Check with Klaus at thectsc.com. He has rebuilt units, and maybe can offer advice. Note that a broken pin/socket can be repaired with a soldering iron.

Seriously, I don't see that any sensors need to be preventatively replaced as such, since they'll usually code or show degradation symptoms before going bad. Just maintenance when the machine calls...

Though a head gasket is not a mystery for a experienced indy, just the expense of a teardown would cause me to pay for a second opinion. Then bring it to the one you trust most.
