I have to agre that I tear through rears twice as fast as the fronts. I am really happy with Michelin Pilot Sports/Super Sports.

Don't know about a 328, but I like it on my 335. Not real loud at low RPM's, but wails nicely at higher revs. Its got a nice grugle when downshifting, but not at all tinny.

I don't have run-flats so I carry a space saver spare on long road trips. Other than that, I don't hesitate to take long trips when ever the opportunity presents itself.
