The problem wasn't the outer door handle. It was the inner door handle being loose due to the bowden cable not being held in place.
So the passenger had to roll the window down...

It is recommended to replace all 6 coil packs when one fails. They're extremely easy to replace. Each cost approximately $40.00 for a total of $240.

I had the exact same issue where 1 coil pack...
