sorry the cars a 98 540ia with 113,000 miles on it. the car did slightly overheat once and i had the cooling system done, which was over a year ago.

Unhappy smoke

the car smokes on the start up then dies down. I have no leaks and no lights on. the car acyually drives mint and idles well, theres no clear sign of anything being wrong besides the smoke

I actually slightly unscrewed the radiator cap and drove to a mechanic friend of mine's house and he's going to do it for me as well as some other things i need to have done. thanks.

yeah it sucks mine do the same thing. Someone told me you can go to bmw and they will put some kind of grease or silicon on the lock mechanism that is suppose to stop that from happening. i looking...

Question o2 sensor/ gas mileage

if you have a bad 02 sensor is it possible for it to reduce your mpg by say 4 mpg? or is it probably somthing else?

in all honesty i thought a 95 m3 had a 0-60 of 5.5-6.0sec and the lightweight did a 0-60 in 5 flat? correct me if i'm wrong

thanks for your help. i changed the radiator and flushed out as much as i could, it fixed the problems i was having with the heat, I'm so happy because it's dropping into the teens here in new york....
