If you think a 4 cyl gasser compares on paper with 6 cyl diesel you are crazy. Those 425 foot pounds of torque crushes gassers. You can't possibly understand what you are getting in the diesel.

Just made run from Houston Tx. to Destin Fl. and back. Ran 75-80 all the way and touched 100 in passing slow trucks. The 335d got almost 37 on the computer, which in my experience runs about 1mpg...

It could be they are expanding the diesel engine factory. Right now the reason for no 535d's in America is a lack of engine production. They simply don't have the engines to put in them.
