I had the same problem on my 02. Went on and off...

I had the same problem on my 02. Went on and off for a few years before I changed the sensor. It's a simple 2 minute DIY fix and the part is about $40 as I recall. I think it's PN 61 31 9 119 052...

you sure its not the CCV's? That's what is was on my 02 and I changed a lot of things before I found the CCV's were split. And only a $25 DIY fix. When the CCV's completely fail, a test for them...
