Your 2008 has the connector for the sensor. The sensor comes with the alarm kit. The kit is less than $300 and is an easy install. The dealer has to code it though.

Did you ask him why he isn't replacing the rear rotors? If they are OEM, they usually at about minimum spec thickness when the first set of pads wear out. At least mine were.
