No need to reregister if he is getting the 3 chirps. The chirps show the alarm is recognizing the remote, but one of the switches is not set.

I just had the LSD installed. The increased grip is easy to feel. I drove my 435i last winter with no issues, so it should be even better next winter. Just be sure to get good snow tires.
