Put the positive cable from the CTEK to the positive terminal and the negative one fits perfectly under the long bolt that holds the battery in place.

If you have a key that is not comfort access then you could try re-charging it with an electric tooth brush charger. I have seen this work and recommended this to others and it also worked for them....

I would recommend an Eisenmann exhaust though. I just fitted one to my e36 and it sounds mean! Mine is only the "sport" version of the exhaust, a friend has fitted the "race" version to his e60 M5...

The Oil gauge is at 1 litre when it's full, you should not let it go below zero. It will show as bars in the iDrive menu.

A word of warning, the system will not recognise a top up of less than 0.5...
