The area behind the rear view mirror is a different shape in the black area. Would impact how the device mounts and see's through the glass, as the least.

Sounds like you've made the right decision. Leasing in Chicago, yes go for the insurance. Make sure it's BMW not third party insurance and negotiate as you would any auto purchase, they have room.

I believe the 350 wheels come in two widths because they are using them staggered in Europe, 8 in front and 9 in the rear. In US all Xdrive are same width all round.

Very happy with Michelin Pilot Super Sport on my 535i Xdrive M-sport. If you search you'll find many others liking the PSS.
Do switch to 18" winter tires on 350M wheels due to location.

Problems are really on the 19"...

I thought the PSS made a dramatic improvement in ride and handling for the F10 after the LS2.

Seems to be a large disconnect from the marketing message for RFT to the real world...

The latest cradle has a fan to keep it cool or should say cooler - it gets quite warm. Original cradles without fan were pulled due to the heat build up I believe.

If optimum performance summer and winter isn't a concern then 18" wheels with all season conventional tires. Only issue is the BMW insurance only...
