When I check last week the pressure was 275/42 at 92 degree ambient. Even though this is the original AC system, it is in like new condition. Only thing I did was add about 6 oz of R-134a.

I had 105 psig on both sides before engaging compressor. If the system was empty I would have 0 psig, so I figure the system still had some freon in it. Or am I wrong?

I have a vacuum pump so when I get time I will go ahead and pull a vacuum, see how it holds, and if it does hold a vacuum go ahead and recharge with placard weight of R135.

I use 89 and ever so often 91 octane in my '98 Z3 2.8L roadster. I do notice performance is better with the higher octane since the timing is more advanced.
