I'm going to bet you that it's your starter motor. Mine was just doing the same thing... skreetching metal on metal grinding noise. Lasting about 2 or 3 seconds for me, and happens about 1 second...

Make sure you use quick detail spray, not spray wax... there's a difference. Meguires is what I use when I clay my car. Done it twice in the three years I own my car and it keeps it looking...
