Yep, I change my answer from above. It looks like ever since Audi moved to the Torsen Type 3 differential, which they did around 2006 according to the Wikipedia entry, the default torque split has...

I believe it's a 50/50 torque split in most of the cars, with as much as 80% at either axle. The RS cars have a 60/40 split favoring the rear.

Test drove 16 Explorer Sport today

Bimmer guy. Beemers have 2 wheels.

Anyway, nonsense. I'm not passive-aggressive and I've owned a lot of BMWs. I own one now. I'm qualified to give my opinion, not that I need to be. I'll tell you...

Test drove 16 Explorer Sport today

Acura screwed up the MDX in that last redesign, to my eyes. The previous version had great, athletic lines and the new one looks like an appliance. I'm sure it's a better vehicle under the skin.

Test drove 16 Explorer Sport today

I think the Edge is a more interesting vehicle than the Explorer. It's larger than it looks for a 2-row SUV, size feels just about right to me, and it drives _substantially_ more sporty than the...

Actually I don't think they used the name placards on the speakers until after the LCI. My 2013 has the Premium stereo and no placards.

I had one in Chicago a few months ago. Although the interior is probably a step down from a BMW, I didn't find it to be the least bit objectionable.

It was enormous, though. Truly, it felt to...

These guys are right. The chassis is fundamentally different between those two cars; more so than it has ever been in the past for BMW. The F36 (4GC) is a sport sedan and the F10 (550) is a luxury...

I've read that too, recently. I don't think I believe it - it doesn't seem to foot with the physics of how disc brakes work. How would it be possible for brake material to accumulate on the disc...

My problem is I can't - it hurts my eyes. I can't believe somebody over there took the athletic, graceful lines of the previous Q7, turned them into that, and the greenlight guy said "yes, that...

Indeed it is a tiny screen. It betrays the age of that Q7 design, even though the body style itself has held up very well, to my eyes.

Mercedes GLs are super nice. I've had those as rentals too...

Audi Q7? Three row seating, quite a bit larger than it looks. Not a thrill drive, but a very nice vehicle. They're holding value amazingly well, too - a 2013 TDI Prestige model is still around...

It's a profit skim, plain and simple. Presumably the cost of nuts and bolts are included in a mechanic's parts and labor rates already, and $37 is a lot of money for wiper fluid.

Bimmerhaus is also very good if you're near Broomfield. They are almost as expensive as the dealer in some cases, though. I remember paying $1800 for brakes on my X5 years ago.
