With 175K miles, I think the original ignition coils served their life. If it was my car, I'd replace ignition coils as a preventive maintenance.

Based on the info given, I'd say the starter is the culprit. Take a piece of (2' or longer) of rod like ratchet extension and hit the starter thru the gaps in the intake manifold and try to start.
