I don't drive mine in the rain so it stays clean for the most part. It only has 47K+ miles. Not bad for an 03. Since it only has dust, I just rinse it up with a garden hose, use a leaf blower to blow...

Yes, looking at the part itself, from the parts catalog, the canister thread goes in about an inch or so. I tried again yesterday with a diferent impact wrench and it didn't do a damm thing either....
