Isn't the part you listed for an X1? Not sure why they'd quote me the X1 CAS ... mine is a 2009 X5 with comfort pkg.

Dealer has ordered a 'test' CAS unit and will install to see if the problem...

Yes, I do have comfort access. I'm not too concerned about the walk-up opening, I just want my remotes to work. And yes, the instrumentation is working fine now ... no glitches.

Hmmm, interesting. I did a trickle charge on my main car battery and it charged fully but the next day, the date, read-outs on instrument panel, remote key all started to change and not work again...
