They aren't difficult to replace on ur own either..just a little time consuming because its a tight space..I believe e38.org has a write up for both.

His instructions do say to park the car on level...

Yeah , i went out there and checked the battery terminals. Gave them a good scrub with the wire brush to remove anything on them. Also did that with the actual wires as well and their connectors....

Well, got the transmission dipstick installed. Car doesnt move. I added the fluids to it as instructed. Still nothing. Doesnt even feel like the car is shifting into its gears.
