I cant deny or confirm if that is possible. But you should try and reseat the dimmer bulb. If it was moved or not seated right, it can be slightly off, which will make it appear dimmer in the rings.

Tech, thanks for the write up! I though these cars also had the same issue (wetness in the footwells) caused by a faulty seal around the sunroof? Any input on that?
