Harder to shift

I have an 04 330i with a manual transmission and about 177,000 on the odometer. Much of that is highway mileage. I've noticed lately that it is harder for me to select a gear. What I mean is when I'm...

Price is always a factor, but it's not the biggest one. I'd like a raw, fun, manual transmission car that can share DD duties with my aging ZHP.

Where to measure tread depth?

Do I measure tread depth in the center treads or on the edges? Replace if 3/32" or less, right? If any of the treads are at that depth I should replace, or when all are? TIA.
