I've always found freshly rebuilt engines to be alarmingly loud/ lifter ticky, I assume it just takes a little time for oil to get back into all the places it should be.

I got both the OBD II cable and the 20 pin adapter, and yes, it came with a CD. I have an old XP laptop which I was planning to use instead of messing with a virtual machine on my normal use laptop
