The only real under the car wrenching I would probably end up doing is t-case, transmission, and diff oil changes.. I think a scissor lift might not be optimal for that sort of stuff.

It's sensor, so who knows. If it's inexpensive and easy to replace, I don't typically like to throw parts at a problem, but in this case it's a good place to start I think.

In my humble opinion, any of the E9x with the N52...

In my humble opinion, any of the E9x with the N52 motor (aka non-turbo). They require the least amount of maintenance and is a rock solid motor.

I have 144k on my 2007 E92 and 75k on my 2011 E92....
