Who could use a hood for an e39? This one is like new. Asking $250 Located in Delaware.
The hood has been stored indoors, no scratches dings or dents! and the emblem and grills are like new too....

P1175 is a fuel mixture code, indicates a vacuum leak. What your smelling is probably the car running Lean, not rich. Check for vacuum leaks after the MAF sensor.

+1 on a bad tensioner pulley. The bearings can dirt inside or the grease inside can just plain dry up, you may not hear this if you spin it by hand though.

I would look to make sure you dont have oil around any spark plugs, what happens is the valve cover gaskets can leak and oil seaps into and around the spark plugs causing misfires

Yes that's probably true, but I even tried to start up the aux fan manually by grounding the low speed wire and it still wont come on until I unplug the Taurus fan. WTH?

I hope you werent' using Dex cool type anti freeze before. Cause Dex cool antifreeze will turn into Gel if mixed with other types of coolant. I hope you know that.

You can test your aux fan by unplugging the radiator temp sensor on the radiator and using a paperclip to test the fan, the brown wire is ground and the other 2 are low speed and high speed....
