Also, send the adjuster ( not the repair guy) every receipt you have for every mod, repair, or upgrade.
I did well with receipts and the constant annoying drone of " it's my hobby car and is near...

Sorry dude, I felt the same when my 325 went last month.
You'll feel much better when you replace it.
I love the the 98 M3 vert I replaced the 325 vert with. It was a free upgrade for me.

Top and tension straps were replaced I think the motors are original. I have about an inch of service records I haven't organized into a time line yet.

I am pretty sure the Triumph is a TR3A.
When I was about 8 my Dad restored a 63 and I helped, it's what got started with older cars.

I have a buddy who did his own dash years ago using epoxy to fill the cracks, once it covered you couldn't tell. Keep us posted.

Nada lists 98 as first year, so does wiki. I didn't bother to to find BMW source documents.
There should be some cars with late 97...
