personally i would stick with the mechanical, i think its more reliable than the electric, but electric is all i have on mine and it dont wanna work now.

i dont really see what it being a desiel could be that would impact its power or motivation.

Does it struggle while on level ground? or just when under load? ie. going up a slight incline or hill...

i think the pulley was the hardest part but i also didnt have one of them pulley tools,
youll have to take the resevoir off the bracket, and take the lines off if you wanna drain...

nevermind, im just gonna go all out in the cleaning of this bad boy... since in all the write ups i see everyone is using throttle body cleaner and some usin gas, ill just pour dome drain-o down...

I been looking really hard at my ICV and i have cleaned it twice with MAF cleaner and some Electrical stuff cleaner... Im kinda scared to get carb cleaner in there cause it supposedly...

my heat would only be warm when going down the road. the slower i went the cooler it got.

but the symptoms started like what you are describing....

i have found just about anything that i have replaced engine wise to be really really simple... compared to other cars where you have to take off half the engine to replace something.

mine was overheating, and it turned out that the metal impeller water pump cracked like the grand...
