How long after fix should SES light turn off?

I had lean codes and the root cause was the infamous torn lower intake boot issue.

Replaced the boot on Sunday, SES light is still on after driving to and from work the last few days.

I may have deformed the plastic just slightly, allowing it to have some play. But, the clips are good so its not going to fall out...

That's correct, the towers were mushroomed already which is why I decided to install the plates. I thought the plates would straighten out with the struts, meaning the bolts would go back to normal...

This is a good DIY, though...allows you to get the "inexpensive" bulbs (only $25 + s&h for a pair!) and "make" them work for you.
