yes the sensor is the intake side and it isnt that hard to repllace, the sensor is behind the VANOS assembly, just onplug the VANOS and remove the oil line, be carefull not to loose the sealing...

The secondary air codes bank one and two is probably set because your AIR pump is not working. The air pump runs for about 2 min on cold start up to add extra air to the cats to warm them up faster....

Hard to say, I have yet to have a pump with metal impeller fail, but have had several BMW OEM pumps with plastic fail within 1 or 2 years and will only install one if customer insists on OEM
