Using Yakima 16 cu ft box. It sits a tad higher than Thule (0.5-1"), but does not compromise on space and has overall better locks. Used it for at least 4+ years, still in very good condition.

I'd put some money down (~10K) on new one to keep payments reasonable - you dont spend a lot up front, you keep your monthly savings...
