I too used Loctite when I reinstalled the bushing...

I too used Loctite when I reinstalled the bushing although I didn't bother to mention it. The bushing will come off....in my case I used a lot of heat (torch) and it eventually gave up.

Mine were all broken off when I went to replace the sensors....one of them was glued in place and it was the worst to remove....ended up actually drilling through it and using an o-ring pick to pull...

Good for you to abandon thoughts of using a K&N. A cheaper, quicker way to destroy an engine is to dump a handful of sand directly into the intake.....avoids the "middle man" (K&N filter).
