2000 528i weird problem

A buddy has a 00' 528i that has the brake light trifecta. Although if he takes it through a car wash the lights will go out and everything works fine. Then if everything dries out they start coming...

That fuse should be good if the tach is jumping. You should get fuel out the schrader valve under pressure.

See if your getting fuel pressure at the fuel rail. There is also a fuse under the hood that could be blown. Does your tach jump when your cranking it?

I would listen to see if the fuel pump is priming when you first turn the key on. The oil leaks could be from the valve cover, oil filter housing or the oil pan.

Check the ground strap on the right hand side of the engine. Also take a jumper cable and clamp onto the head then to the strut tower. If it starts its your ground strap.

Got it running. I hooked a jumper cable between the block and strut tower then it started. So I rechecked the ground cable on the right front and cleaned it up really good then it started after that...

I installed the new sensors and so far so good. The bad bank 2 sensor would take a long time to go into closed loop. The new sensors warm up fast.

I did a drop test at the battery and it was good there. Didn't have anyone at the time to do any other drop tests while cranking. Anything else should I test?
