I did a cooling system overhaul before the changeover. Replaced the radiator, expansion tank, water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, belts and idler pulleys, and some,but not all of the hoses.

As I recall it was $760 for my clutch in my 540. That was to replace the clutch only. No flywheel or other work. $500 labor plus the cost of the clutch kit. I can't imagine that a 528 should cost...

Most of the suspension tweeks were to allow for use of the 18 inch stagered set-up M-pars. There is a slight advantage in handling, but I think it is mostly due to the difference in tires and wheels....

Don't pay him anything until you have a key that actually works. He can cut a key that will turn the ignition but I don't see how he is going to make it work with the EWS.

Your FSU should be replaced. It is draining the battery by running the fan (often at very low speeds) even when the car is turned off. Next you probably need a new battery.
