i wired them as DRL's

i ran a wire from each headlight and tapped them into the fuse box under the air cleaner. IIRC it was a orange and white wire. Welcome to the Board!

I originally installed so they go on with my parking lights.
I opted to run a trigger from the ecu so they would go on with the ignition.
I believe the wire is red with white stripe or yellow...

Opinion on which bulb in this Parking light

The halos are bluish and I have white bulbs that look OK.(kinda yellow)

Can I open Hella rear tail lights on my e39?

My nephew 'baked' his headlights on his e46 to open them up.
Placed in an oven at 300 degrees for 10 minutes.

Had the same problem with my 5

The alarm kept going off without reason. It turned out to be the hood switch. Disconnected it and stopped getting dirty looks :).
