Light smoke coming from the engine (after doing OFHG and PS hoses)

Finished up my oil filter housing gasket and replacing all 4 PS hoses.
I drove the car around the block, and when I got back,
I opened the hood to verify the PS reservoir level (it's good).

My alternator's electrical clip is mangled.
The "paper clip" thing that you press down to spread tangs to release clip.
I see they can be popped on and off.
Can I just buy a new "paper clip"...

The driver's side switch doesn't work only when "half" pressed.

When I press the up button, nothing happens.
I press it a few more times, then it goes.
Or I press the window down, and then it can go up.
