Good point. No pic of the exhausts, so can't tell if it's actually a 535. And if it's 2007, of course it can't be a US 535. Must be a 2007 Euro 535, then, per i4Collin's comment, if it is a 535.

Interior pics -- gear shifter is the plastic pre-LCI type. Last appeared in 2007, in the USA. Window switches, as well, are pre-LCI.

At that age, and a 545, your valve seals are failing. Expensive job to fix. Look around on the site; some traveling mechanics will charge you $2500 for the job -- much less than dealer.

If they find anything in the oil they need to drop the pan and inspect the oil filter intake for blockage. Also check the bearing seal for damage.

+1 -- definitely do this, OP. The caps on the back of the pods twist off. Use a mirror and flash to inspect. Very common problem. Expensive to fix -- I'm sure the guy was aware of a headlight pod...
