Try recalibrating the Steering Angle Sensor

I had the same symptom, turned out that the Steering angle Sensor (on lower part of steering column in car) needed to be re-calibrated. This is performed with a GT1 or similar type scanner.

I find the Koni SA's are not that great on my 540i sport combined with the H&R lowering springs. They don't have any rebound stop to speak, especially when going over speed bumps. It doesn't matter...

Did mine at 130k and replaced with

Redline ATF. I;m now at 181k and no issues. I will do another filter/fluid change at 190k. Hopin to get 300k out of the tranny.

Pics are not very good, but I did find a way

to extend the rubber boot for the trunk loom. I re-soldered my broken connection and put shrink wrap on the fixed connection. (make sure you slip the shrink wrap on the wires before you solder them...

All 99's and up have drive by wire throttle / pedal setups. Less chance of a cable fraying, more chance that the Engine Failsafe mode will kick in the event of sticky throttle housing.

Cooling systems need to be purged of air or you

will get air bubbles causing wierd temp and cooling issues. There is a thread on how to do bleed the air posted somewhere if you search.
