Still don't know what you're asking for. My "gear shift" doesn't have any screw to cover. Regardless of what part it is, you can get anything you need at the BMW dealer.

I take it these are cheap Chinese ballasts. The stock ballasts are 35w and you say you're using 55w. 55w is much hotter and you may end up permanently damaging your headlights. Try a quality 35w kit.

Maybe the previous owner swapped them out thinking using a higher K value would give them better lighting. Changing out to say a 6000k Chinese bulb will not have anywhere near the lumens of the stock...
