I let a 10 minute oil change guy do my oil change. I supplied him the 10-60 oil and oem filter. Now I went to the dealer and they said the guy stripped the thread and put in a larger plug to cover...

I have 80K on my '02 M3 and aside from regular service, I have changed the front pads and rotors at 60K and that's it. Clutch and rear brakes are still going strong.

I agree with Kuddel. It's the condition of the car - not the number of miles. Check the maintenance records from BMW. Has it been getting properly serviced?
