I replaced the DME and the ews with a pair from ebay, bought from "mr.autoparts" they cost $100 and only required the keys to be programmed using the method in the Bently repair book.

Look at the clamp doodad with the 10 mm screw, be sure it wedges the connection tight as you tighten it.

Yes I have the little green gasket in place but still no volts on the black wire at the connector. I measured 2.5 V on the mid one and a good ground on the third.
