I believe Depot 'headlights' are just headlight...

I believe Depot 'headlights' are just headlight covers. The adjusters should be the same as stock. Your factory headlight adjuster is probably just broken and needs to be replaced.

I hope you've got some deep pockets and aren't a junior in college... most of the parts on a M5 will be two to three times the price of 540 parts (or more).
