Will a set of coil springs (sport or non-sport) from a 02 530, fit in a 99 528i m-suspension?

It looks like Chevy finally caught up (not really) to bmw. Well, the only way R&T could have compared them was to put a 12+yrs old bmw against a new 2015 chevy car.

But the issues with my 16 yr old car are mainly aesthetic: paint, sealing gaskets, mechanical-electric interior components, old plastic, etc, etc.
The rest is "ok" for now.
